Meridian's Upper School serves grades 9-12, combining rigorous academics with leadership development and college preparation. Our program emphasizes intellectual rigor through discussion-based seminars where students question, connect, and apply knowledge to the challenges that matter to them.
Academic Offerings
- Students explore Literature, History, Philosophy, and Writing through challenging texts and meaningful discussions. Our program includes AP courses and opportunities for independent studies.
- Advanced Mathematics, Sciences, and Computer Science courses prepare students for technical fields and scientific careers. Students engage in research partnerships with local universities.
- Our arts program encompasses Visual Arts, Music, Theater, and Digital Media. Regular exhibitions, performances, and showcases celebrate student creativity.
College Preparation
Our comprehensive college counseling program begins in 9th grade with four-year planning and intensifies support in grades 11-12. With a 97% college-going rate, our graduates attend outstanding institutions including Reed, Lewis & Clark, University of Oregon, Portland State, Whitman, and Willamette.
