Meridian's Distinguished Scholars program recognizes students who combine academic excellence with meaningful community service. This program honors students who exemplify our commitment to both intellectual achievement and positive impact.
Program Requirements
- Maintain 3.7+ GPA with rigorous coursework demonstrating intellectual commitment and scholarly achievement.
- Complete 100+ hours of meaningful service annually, addressing community needs and making lasting impact.
- Demonstrate leadership initiative in school or community organizations, showing integrity, respect, and responsibility.
Program Highlights
Distinguished Scholars receive recognition at an annual ceremony, earn medallions at graduation, and receive letters of recommendation for college applications. Students apply during the spring of their junior or senior year with transcripts, service documentation, personal statements, and teacher recommendations.
