Modern sustainable charter school campus building with LEED certification and solar panels

A Campus Designed for Discovery

Where every space inspires learning and environmental stewardship

Our campus is more than a building—it's a learning laboratory where sustainability meets innovation.

Since moving to our current Portland location in 2008, we've intentionally designed every space to promote collaboration, connect learning to the environment, and inspire curiosity. From classroom layouts that encourage discussion to architectural features that remind students of their broader context, our LEED Silver-certified campus embodies our educational philosophy.

Sustainable Design

Our LEED Silver-certified campus integrates sustainability into daily learning.

Solar Energy

Our solar panel array generates 40% of the campus electricity, providing a real-world example for environmental science courses and reducing our carbon footprint year-round.

Water Conservation

Advanced rainwater collection systems capture and reuse precipitation for irrigation and non-potable applications, teaching students practical resource management.

Green Materials

Efficient building materials and design maximize natural light, reduce energy consumption, and create healthy indoor environments that support student wellbeing and focus.

Diverse Learning Environments

Every space on our campus was designed with intentionality. Our facilities include:

  • Traditional & Modular Classrooms – Flexible layouts that adapt to different learning styles and group sizes
  • Collaborative Areas – Open spaces that encourage peer interaction and project-based work
  • Quiet Study Zones – Dedicated areas for focused individual work and reflection
  • Discussion-Based Seminar Rooms – Intimate settings for Socratic dialogue and deep conversation
  • Outdoor Learning Spaces – Two acres connecting students to nature and the environment

Each environment supports our pedagogical approach of helping students navigate complexity with clarity and confidence.
